Slim Controller is a tvOS app for controlling Lyrion Music Server. This page describes what the app sends over the network, and why.
What we collect (in the app)
Slim Controller does not collect, store, or transmit personal data. There are no accounts, no user profiles, and no analytics.
Signup form (on this site)
If you submit the beta signup form on this site, the email address and any optional details you provide are sent to Formspree and forwarded to us. We use the address only to send you a TestFlight invitation and any follow-up messages about the beta itself. We don't share it with anyone else. Formspree's own privacy notice is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Network connections
The app makes only two kinds of outbound connection:
- Your Lyrion Music Server, on your local network. All library, playback, and queue data stays between the app and your server.
- Sentry, used solely for crash reports. See below.
Crash reports
If the app crashes, a report is sent to Sentry so the problem can be diagnosed and fixed. A typical report includes:
- The stack trace at the point of failure.
- The OS version, device model, and app version.
- A randomly generated install identifier so duplicate reports from the same device can be grouped.
No personal data, library contents, or server addresses are included. Sentry's own privacy notice is at sentry.io/privacy.
Children
Slim Controller is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date at the top.
